Founded in 2015 under the inspiration and power of God, Freedom Empowerment Church International began with just nine people at Parkville High School. Over the years, we have seen countless wonders and miracles, and God continues to move mightily in our midst. Now located at 8114 Harford Rd, Parkville, MD, we are growing daily, both individually and as a community.
Our church is a family-oriented environment where peace and harmony flourish. With a strong foundation in prayer, we observe three days of prayer and fasting at the start of every month, weekly fasting every Monday, and a special 12-day fast every December. Join us as we journey together in faith, standing on our daily watchword: “I dwell in the secret place of the Most High, the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.”

Meet our Head Pastor and Founder
Pastor Akintunde Omotayo Ikubisehin, affectionately known as Pastor Kubby, is the esteemed founder and lead pastor of Freedom Empowerment Church International in Parkville, Maryland. Born on January 20th, 1960, in Ondo City, Nigeria, Pastor Kubby has a rich background as a civil engineer, businessman, and preacher.
He studied civil engineering at the College of Engineering Technology in Madras, India, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Counseling. His professional journey includes significant roles in engineering and management, both in Nigeria and abroad. After moving to the United States in 1996, he established Rejoice Health Services, a successful health care provider company.
In 1998, Pastor Kubby dedicated his life to Christ, leaving behind worldly pursuits to fully embrace his calling. After serving as Resident Pastor at Faith & Truth Mission Church, he founded Freedom Empowerment Church International in 2015, where he continues to lead a thriving congregation.
Pastor Kubby is also an accomplished author, having written two influential books: *”Pillar of Destiny”* and *”Marriage is Benevolence.”* A disciplinarian with a strong moral compass, he is deeply committed to his family, his church, and his community. In 2010, he was recognized by Baltimore County Executive James T. Smith Jr. for his dedicated service and positive impact on the community.
Happily married with three children, Pastor Kubby is a man of faith, integrity, and unwavering dedication to the work of God.
